The biggest city in all of the Natural State is Little Rock. Home to over 190,000 people and nestled on the south bank of the Arkansas River, Little Rock is home to many diverse and exciting communities. One of those communities is the tight-knit family known as Baptist Health. We’ve been in Little Rock for nearly a century now, after opening our first small hospital in 1921. Since then, Little Rock and Baptist Health alike have grown and evolved into the complex and vibrant places they are today. Here’s what you can expect to find when you move to Little Rock, Arkansas!1. A Rich and Beautiful EnvironmentLittle Rock isn’t the only place you can enjoy nature in Arkansas. The Ozark Mountains offer a fantastic sight you’ll never get tired of. If you’re a nature buff, Arkansas is the place to be. Between the Arkansas River and the Buffalo Natural River, you have no shortage of places to fish, float, and enjoy the water. There are even virtual tours you can use to plan your next outing, or bring some of that natural peace into your home!2. An Exciting NightlifeLittle Rock enjoys a large variety of ways to get out and enjoy your community. There are concerts, live theatre, sports bars—whatever you can imagine, you’ll find it in Little Rock! Take a second to browse what could be your next favorite restaurant. 3. An Unbeatable CommunityMaybe we’re biased, but there’s no place like Arkansas, and there’s no other place we would want to be. As Cynthia Roy, one of Little Rock’s RNs points out, we’re dedicated to the health of the community both in and outside of the hospital.
Many people know about the local farmer’s market that Baptist Health does, but I like that Baptist Health is involved in more than just that for the community. We have the heart walk, often we’re on the news giving health advice and providing resources for healthier living in the community.
There are so many more reasons to join the Baptist Health Arkansas family, so we’ll let the employees do the explaining! Browse through the career site and see more blogs and videos about what it’s like to #KeepOnAmazing with Baptist Health.
